Fxcubict - Designing a Landing Page for a Fintech Startup

Introduction

Fxcubict is a fintech startup that engaged me to design a landing page for their brand. The client had provided some preliminary designs that required refinement and improvement. As the sole UI/UX designer, my goal was to create a visually appealing and user-friendly landing page that established Fxcubict’s brand presence while also making it easy for new users to understand their services. I had a timeline of one week to deliver the final design.

Problem Statement

Fxcubict’s main problem was that they needed a landing page that effectively communicated their services and established their brand identity to potential investors, stakeholders, and customers. They wanted a website that was easy to use for new users who may not be familiar with the fintech industry. The challenge for me was to create a landing page that met their expectations while also being visually appealing and user-friendly.

Users and Audience

The target audience for Fxcubict’s landing page included potential investors, stakeholders, and customers who were looking for a reliable fintech startup to invest their time and money into. The website was also targeted towards individuals who were new to the fintech industry and required a clear and concise explanation of Fxcubict’s services.

Roles and Responsibilities

As the UI/UX designer for this project, my responsibilities were to redesign the home page and suggest a brand design that would be consistent with Fxcubict’s overall image and message. I was also tasked with ensuring that the landing page was easy to use and effectively communicated Fxcubict’s services to potential investors and customers.

Scope and Constraints

The timeline for this project was limited to just one week, which meant that I had to work efficiently and effectively to deliver a final design within the given time frame. Additionally, the client had very little content to display on the landing page, which meant that I had to be creative and resourceful in designing a visually appealing and informative page.

Process

To begin the design process, I conducted research into the fintech industry, including the target audience and Fxcubict’s competitors. I also interviewed the client to gain a deeper understanding of their values, mission, and target audience. Once I had gathered enough information, I created wireframes and prototypes using Figma, a collaborative design tool, to showcase my ideas and receive feedback from the client. After the wireframes and prototypes were approved, I moved onto the visual design stage. I used Figma to create a high-fidelity mockup of the landing page, incorporating Fxcubict’s branding guidelines, typography, and color scheme. I also added visual elements such as icons and images to create an engaging and professional website. To ensure that the landing page was easy to use, I incorporated a clear navigation system and a hierarchy of information that made it easy for users to understand Fxcubict’s services.

Outcomes

I successfully delivered a visually appealing and user-friendly landing page for Fxcubict within the given timeline. The landing page showcased Fxcubict’s services and value proposition in a clear and concise manner, making it easy for potential investors and customers to understand their offerings. The landing page effectively established Fxcubict’s brand presence and identity, and the client was satisfied with the final design.

Lessons Learnt

This project taught me the importance of understanding the client’s values, mission, and target audience to create a landing page that effectively communicated their services and established their brand presence. The tight timeline and limited content also highlighted the importance of creativity and resourcefulness in the design process. Overall, this project was a valuable experience in designing a visually appealing and user-friendly landing page for a fintech startup.
